First Impressions

How First Impressions are Everything

Selling your home does take some effort on the part of the sellers. Gone right now are the days you can simply put a for sale sign in the yard and get an offer by the time you reach the front door.

It all starts with first impressions. What is the photo telling buyers about your home? You have to draw them in with whatever perks your home boasts by the initial photo. Is there an outstanding view from the living room? This may be what you want to show to draw buyers into see more. Is the home itself georgous to look at? Whatever it is, this is what you need to focus on in the initial impression to buyers.

What if your home is not so special at first glance? Well then it takes some finese to find how to best showcase your home. Take a look at the front of the home in different lights, sunny, cloudy, more or less shadows... etc. What about from different angles or on either side of the road? The best way to is to take photos from all angles then compare the results. Is there landscaping that looks better from one angle to another? What about looking at old photos of the home when there might have been more flowers in bloom?

You can always go out and find flowers in color that match or compliment the color of your home. Make sure they stand out in the photos. Taking a photo in fall or winter when there is practially no green is tough but a winter photo with snow might set the perfect, cozy look for your home.
